To Live

Oh, can’t I come into the world?
Have I no right to live?
A life should not be forsaken
As I too wish to give.

The great design was made this way,
Originated from the first.
My soul cries out to have this chance
Not to be judged by happenstance.

Were I to be given my way
‘Tis this I would say,
“It’s great to want to live
To see a beautiful day

Your world is for me to see
For this is what I must do,
Make it a better place,
To prove it’s best for you.

My plea is for this chance,
To have my heart and soul.
For in this way, I’ll return
Love, for the likes of you...”
