Child Of God

I was once part of the world, the world without God.
It is amazing that through my conversion the world has become different for me.
It is the same world, yet it looks different through the eyes of a child of God.


As a child of God, I reach out to those in need.	The world calls me co-dependent.
As a child of God, I have experienced mysticism.	The world calls me delusional.
As a child of God, I have experienced miracles, visions, and locutions.	The world calls me mentally unbalanced.
As a child of God, I trust in God and God alone.	The world tells me I'm gullible.
As a child of God, I believe in reaching out to troubled youth to help them find a new way.	The world tells me I'm being reckless and stupid.
As a child of God, I unite my sufferings with the Cross of Christ where I find comfort.	The world sees only suffering and calls it needless.
As a child of God, I feel total joy and peace.	The world looks to alcohol and drugs to find that elusive feeling.
As a child of God, I am fulfilled by spiritual reading, prayer, and thoughts of the heavenly prize.	The world is on an everlasting quest for materialistic fulfillment.
As a child of God, I see the beauty of God's creation everywhere.	The world sees only the ugliness of itself.
As a child of God, I see my Lord in all my neighbors.	The world sees diversity that leads to gossip, slander, bigotry, and violence.
As a child of God, I am grateful to Him for all the gifts He has given me.	The world is full of pride and arrogance.
As a child of God, I depend on the Holy Spirit.	The world calls Him "a higher power", "fate", or "coincidence".
As a child of God, I know I can do nothing without Him.	The world is self-reliant.
As a child of God, I love all people as I love myself.	The world is plagued with murder and suicide.
As a child of God, I have found a purpose for living.	The world asks, "What's the point?"
As a child of God, I am able to face all my trials with Him, taking refuge in His arms.	The world "goes it alone".
As a child of God, I am able to understand human faults and weaknesses.	The world is intolerant.
As a child of God, I pray for guidance in difficult situations.	The world searches for psychics and horoscopes.
As a child of God, I can practice mercy and forgiveness for He has shown me how.	The world has hardened hearts and holds grudges.
As a child of God, I clearly see the battle between good and evil every day.	The world doesn't realize it is ruled by the evil one.

We are all children of God, but are you a CHILD of God?
There is a difference.
I used to be of the world. Today, I praise God and thank Him
for allowing me to be His child.
God's world is much more beautiful than the one I left!
